Quick Guide of NICT
(1) Upon your arrival at NICT, please stop firstly at the "Security Office" and receive your ID card to enter. The card is only good for the day of issue. Your card should be returned to the office at your "final" leave on the day.
(2) Go to the "Main Building", and use lifts or staircases to get to the "International Conference Room" on the 4th floor. Detailed plan of the 4th floor is given in a separate page.
(3) For Internet connection, please receive the instruction on the registration desk.
(4) The restaurant for your lunch is located at ① on the map shown below.
(5) The "get together" party will be held at ② from 18:00 to 20:00 on 29 Sep (TUE).
(6) Vending machines for beverages are available on the 1st floor of the Main Building.
(7) Foods, daily necessaries, medicines, electronic instruments etc are available at the nearby shopping place (Olympic)
(8) Sandwiches and beverages are also available at Family Mart, a typical "convenience store" in Japan.

Warning: The room for Poster Session and Demonstration (TV Conference Room) will be closed on 29 Sep. (WED), from 10:00 to 12:00, due to a TV business meeting of NICT.
How to get to NICT
The SCOSTEP-WDS Workshop will be held at the Head Quarter of National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Koganei-City, Tokyo. A guide to get to the NICT is posted at http://www.nict.go.jp/en/about/hq.html. In this page we will show the most popular way to get to NICT by a bus from JR KOKUBUNJI station. We will also shows a guide for participants who want to get to NICT by walk from the station.
How to ride a bus?
Please go out from the North Exit of the KOKUBUNJI (国分寺）station, and proceed to the bus terminal indicated on the map shown below. Please take a TACHIKAWA bus (立川バス）and get off at the bus stop in front of NICT: "Joho-Tsushin-Kenkyu-Kiko-Mae （情報通信研究機構前）" in Japanese. Every bus stops at the bus stop in front of NICT. It takes approximately 10 minutes for a bus ride and 2 minutes on foot from the bus stop. The fee of one-ride is 180 JPY.

Please take the TACHIKAWA BUS (立川バス）of this color. Buses showing their root number of 寺51, 寺52, 寺53, 寺54, 寺55, 寺56, 寺57 will stop at “Joho-Tsushin-Kenkyu-Kiko-Mae （情報通信研究機構前）”. |

How to get to NICT from the Kokubunji Station by walking
Distance: about 2 km
Duration: - 20 min
Interesting spot: A monument showing the place where the first experiment of "Pencil Rockets" was conducted by Prof. Itokawa of Tokyo Univ. in 1955. This event was the "advent" of Japanese space expeditions.
